Jellyfish Report

Report jellyfish sightings anywhere on the Croatian coast and read the current seasonal advisory.

Current seasonal status

High — peak swimming season
  • Pelagia noctiluca (mauve stinger) — most common summer species, mild sting.
  • Rhizostoma pulmo (barrel jellyfish) — large, harmless but visually striking.
  • Cotylorhiza tuberculata (fried-egg jellyfish) — harmless, common late summer.

If stung: rinse with sea water (not fresh), remove tentacles with a card, and apply vinegar. Seek medical attention if symptoms worsen.
